The Council on Education and Member Services is charged with identifying, analyzing and seeking solutions to hospital operational issues – including health care management, patient services, professional practice and governance – and providing direction about education programming and other resources that respond to operational issues.
The Council on Health Information is charged with overseeing IHA information and data services, assessing effectiveness and recommending future initiatives. The council provides guidance to IHA’s role as the Iowa hospital public data repository and IHA’s quality and patient safety initiatives.
The Legislative Policy Council is charged with helping develop IHA initiatives with state and national health care legislation, including recommendations about legislative positions, government agencies and regulatory and finance policy concerns, and helping mobilize grassroots advocacy initiatives.
