Part 1 – Health Workforce Retention & Well-being - Leadership Strategies for 2023 PPT
The pandemic has accelerated workforce issues that have existed for more than a decade. Surveys show job satisfaction declining and a growing percentage of clinicians feeling undervalued. And unlike the past, modern burn-out is being reported by younger clinicians. To take a new approach to these workforce issues in 2023, IHA is piloting a train-the-trainer session. The goal of the training is retention through a focus on restoring well-being. The workshop will provide early interventions that are planned and intentional and designed to build new skills to help peer clinicians. Viewers will take home a framework they can build on and customized to use in their own organization.

This webinar focuses on that interaction and offers critical information to help the practitioner and facility obtain the best outcome for the trafficking survivor. The training also promotes systemic change and serves as a foundation for the development of effective human trafficking patient protocols specific to facilities and their resources. This training was developed by professionals in human sex trafficking and seven survivors whose interactions and experiences with Iowa medical-services providers are shared.

The IHA DATABANK Program is a web-based database of hospital utilization, financial performance, and balance sheet indicators. The database is the source of comparable information on inpatient utilization, outpatient statistics, charges and expenses per day and per stay, uncollected charges, number of days in accounts receivable gross, profitability, financial ratios and a number of personnel statistics.
