The Iowa Department of Human Services developed a repository of data shared with the public through their website. One of the reports covers self-reported social determinants of health data collected from people enrolled in Medicaid. This session will focus on reviewing this information and its relevance to health outcomes. The session will culminate in the identification of how social determinants of health can be incorporated into health care practice.

The IHA DATABANK Program is a web-based database of hospital utilization, financial performance, and balance sheet indicators. The database is the source of comparable information on inpatient utilization, outpatient statistics, charges and expenses per day and per stay, uncollected charges, number of days in accounts receivable gross, profitability, financial ratios and a number of personnel statistics.
