PROGRAM OVERVIEW Senior Life Solutions will be hosting a workshop about providing support to volunteers. The presentation is aimed at volunteer coordinators/managers who want to increase mental health support and improve their volunteers’ experience. Topics will include identifying mental health warning signs, questions to ask, and how to offer support. Discussion will be followed by a Q & A. Join us in person at the Henry County Health Center at the Health Education Center in Mount Pleasant OR watch virtually. Register today and choose which way you will be attending - hybrid or in person. If in person, select if you will be staying for lunch. Pay $10 per person onsite for lunch (cash or checks only). White Street, Mount Pleasant, IA 52641 Virtual SPEAKERS Chasity Lange, MSN, RN – Program Director Chasity started out her work in the field of mental health at the Mental Health Institute in Mount Pleasant in 2003 where she remained until its closure in 2015. Chasity attended Southeastern Community College and completed her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2016. She worked as a nurse at Great River Medical Center in the Behavioral Health Department. Chasity also worked as a nurse on the Medical/Surgical Department and then as a House Supervisor at Henry County Health Center. She attended Western Governors University while working full time, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management. In October 2020, Chasity joined Psychiatric Medical Care and opened Senior Life Solutions at Henry County Health Center. Mary Hummel, RN – Program Nurse Mary attended Southeastern Community College and completed her Associates Degree in Nursing in 2010. She has worked as a nurse at Henry County Health Center in the Medical surgical Department since 2010. Mary joined Senior Life Solutions as a Program Nurse in July of 2023. Chris Betsworth, LISW – Program Therapist Chris earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Iowa in 2010 and went on to earn his Masters of Social Work from the University of Iowa's School of Social Work in 2015. He has worked in supportive community living, substance abuse treatment, and community mental health where he provided therapy, conducted risk assessments, and supervised therapists, nurses and support staff. In October 2020, Chris joined Psychiatric Medical Care and opened Senior Life Solutions at Henry County Health Center, where he provides individual and group therapy. Lauren Bigger, LMHC – Program Therapist Lauren earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Greenville University in 2013 and continued on to earn her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at McKendree University in 2016. She has worked with populations varying from children to senior adults, and in a variety of settings including a psychiatric hospital, university mental health center, outpatient therapy, and foster care. Lauren joined Senior Life Solutions as a Program Therapist in July 2023. Jessica Lanman, CNA – Office and Patient Coordinator Jessica obtained her CNA certification at Southeastern Community College in 2009. She has worked with a diverse population with a focus on older adults. Her experiences include working at Regional Home Health Care helping seniors in their homes, The Madison long term care center, Sunnybrook Assisted Living specifically in the memory care garden, and most recently Henry County Health Center Inpatient Services Department. Jessica's career has always been providing care to senior adults, persons with disabilities, and dementia. In October 2020, Jessica joined Psychiatric Medical Care and opened Senior Life Solutions at Henry County Health Center.
