IHA CERTIFICATE PROGRAM:
DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION IN HEALTH CARE

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

As the demographics in Iowa continue changing, there is a growing need to understand diversity, equity and inclusion and its intersection with health care. Health care organizations that support diversity, inclusion and competence training can positively impact patient experience and employee engagement. Further, hospitals developing sustainable strategies and engaging community stakeholders can address health disparities and improve the overall health of the community.

This IHA certificate program, now in its second offering, is provided in partnership with Schabel Solutions.

To earn the IHA DEI Certificate, individuals must participate in and complete all five workshops. Successful completion of IHA’s Certificate Program: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Health Care is not a national DEI certification.
