Dr. DeAnn Fitzgerald, OD, Optometrist, Dr. D.M. Fitzgerald & Associates 4 p.m. Adjournment SPEAKERS Ronee Andersen founded Coaching and Consulting by Ronee in May 2019. Her business focuses on helping others reach their full potential by leveraging leadership, a growth mindset, emotional intelligence, communication, team building and company culture. Before starting her own business, Andersen worked in human resources for more than 20 years. She has worked in small and large companies, including family-owned businesses, publicly traded companies, biotech companies and local governments. Andersen has her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification, an MBA with an emphasis in human resources and is a certified coach through Coach Training Alliance. She also has an advanced certificate in strategic human resources from Cornell University, and certificates in organizational analysis and talent optimization from Stanford University and Predictive Index, respectively. Chiquita Loveless has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgia Gwinnett College and an MBA from St. Leo University. She is the director for diversity, inclusion and social justice at the University of Northern Iowa. She previously was associate director for military and veteran student services. Loveless was in the U.S. Navy for 23 years, retiring as a communication officer/chief warrant officer 2. She served as the equal opportunity officer and sexual assault victim advocate for several tours. After retiring, Loveless was a director for VETCONNEXX, an all-veteran call center in Atlanta, before joining UNI in 2018. Loveless is the recipient of the 2021 Cedar Valley MercyOne Heroes Among Us Military Award. DeAnn Fitzgerald, O.D. has been an eye care profesesional for more than 30 years. A graduate of the College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon, Dr. Fitzgerald has been a practitioner in the Cedar Rapids community since 1984. She offers patient examinations, diagnoses and treatments for the management of vision diseases and disorders. CONTINUING EDUCATION The Iowa Board of Nursing has approved the Iowa Hospital Association as a provider (No. 4) of continuing education for nurses; Participants are eligible for 5.0 nursing contact hours if they attend all sessions in their entireties. Partial credit for individual sessions will not be granted. Participants can submit evaluations for this event to the Iowa Board of Nursing. View full conference details.
