This program provides the foundation for leadership teams to implement mentorship programs at their organizations, set expectations for mentors and mentees and define program successes. During this session, participants will:

  • Describe ways to evaluate the effectiveness of a mentorship program in the health care setting.
  • Detail the toolkit and resources available to launch a mentorship program in health care.
  • Examine similarities and differences between mentorship and direct leadership.
  • Explore mentor and mentee roles and expectations.

Presenter

He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology focusing on gender studies from the University of Northern Iowa. Before joining IHA, Martin worked in hospitals for 26 years, finishing as the supply chain director at Rose Medical Center in 2017.  Here, he increased customer satisfaction and employee engagement scores by over 40% while helping with the most financially profitable year in the medical center’s history.
