After losing his legs in a train accident at 16, he stayed in shape by joining wheelchair basketball teams before becoming involved in sled hockey. Yohe won back-to-back gold medals at the Paralympic Games and was the first paralympian to be chosen as a winner of the Bob Johnson Award, given by USA Hockey to recognize excellence in international hockey competition. Yohe was the captain of Team USA for the Pyeong Chang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. Yohe received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Ashford University.
