HOSPICE: MORE 2024 Final Rules!!

Thursday, November 30th

11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The hospice final payment rule was published months ago -- but CMS snuck in Hospice updates into the Home Health Final rule - and the Physician's Final Rule! These changes were just published in November! Come hear how these additional rules will create a "Special Focus Program," (and learn how to ensure you avoid it!) and allow agencies to dispute a condition level citation, as well as the change to our IDG to give us more flexibility to serve our patient's needs!

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Learners will be able to discuss how the updated rules allow additional counselors to be a part of the interdisciplinary team
  • Learners will be able to identify the primary three indicators of a poor performing Hospice, which could increase the risk of being selected for the Special Focus Group
  • Learners will be able to list three things they should do with their hospice to ensure they will not be seen by CMS as "low performers"
