One sure sign of spring is that CMS has issued their proposals for the following fiscal year for hospices. This session will uncover the plans that CMS has for hospices in the next year and beyond. These changes affect both payment and quality reporting. Learning objectives: Discuss changes occurring to the Hospice Quality Reporting Program. The changes include claims-based measures. Explain how the HIS and the HOPE will evolve in the HQRP. Identify changes to the hospice rates proposed for 2022. SPEAKER Annette Lee is a registered nurse with a master’s degree in health care administration. Practicing since 1990, most of Lee’s nursing experience has been in public health care. For nearly a decade, she worked as an instructor for the home health intermediary Cahaba GBA, where she provided nationwide education to home health and hospice providers about Medicare reimbursement issues and effective documentation strategies. She began Provider Insights to help agencies make Medicare regulations work for them to increase quality and reduce risk. REGISTRATION FEES HPCAI member – $99 per facility. Nonmembers – $225 per facility. CONTINUING EDUCATION 1.5 nursing contact hours will be awarded on May 12 by IHA, Iowa Board of Nursing Provider No. 4. Iowa nursing contact hours will not be issued unless your Iowa license number is provided. For nursing contact hours to be offered, your webinar sign-in and sign-out times will be verified. If you are participating as part of a group, you must assign an on-site proctor to oversee the process required by the Iowa Board of Nursing and Iowa Hospital Association.
